Justin Gaethje Had an Accident 18 Days Before His UFC Title Fight

Justin Gaethje is certainly one of the most exciting fighters to watch and he always delivers for the fight fans.

However, so far the Highlight has two failed attempts at winning the undisputed UFC lightweight title.

In his last fight, Justin Gaethje suffered a first round submission loss against Charles Oliveira after getting knocked down early in the fight.

Gaethje did have success in the fight against Oliveira. However, he could not capitalise on the openings and lost the fight.

During the UFC 281 press conference, Gaethje admitted that he was not 100% going into the fight against Oliveira.

The UFC lightweight revealed that he had a horrific accident leading upto the fight, that had an impact on the outcome.

"My dumbass**, 18 days before I fought Charles, I was riding my bicycle to the gas station to get some nicotine patches, and I had a vicious crash on my bike."

Justin Gaethje also said that he is currently recovering from the accident and the damage taken in the fight against Oliveira and does not have any plan for a return.
