Jon Jones will return to the UFC Octagon after more than two years away from the cage. He will make his heavyweight debut at UFC 285.

Jon Jones will take on Ciryl Gane for the undisputed heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 285 in Las Vegas. The heavyweight title remains vacant for the time being after Francis Ngannou's exit.

For a long time now, fans have been speculating Jon Jones will retire amid delayed return to the Octagon.

However, it's safe to say, Gane vs Jones puts those rumors to rest for the time being. If that wasn't enough, Jon Jones' new UFC contract signal towards a long UFC career that is to come.

UFC President Dana White revealed that Jon Jones has signed a new 8-fight UFC contract.

That means, Jon Jones is not going anywhere, and we could see an extended run for the former light-heavyweight champion in the heavyweight division.

Is there a chance he goes down the light-heavyweight division again? We highly doubt considering how much Jones has bulked up for his heavyweight debut.

Jon Jones is not going anywhere anytime soon and his new UFC contract means we will see him as many as 8 times inside the UFC Octagon.
