In the aftermath of the Jones vs. Reyes , Jones relinquished the light heavyweight belt and announced his plan to compete at heavyweight.

Jon Jones' feud with Dana White over his contract kept him away from the octagon for a long time. Besides that, Jones wanted to bulk up for his heavyweight debut.

After a long layoff, Jon Jones is now rumoured to fight the current heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou at UFC 285.

Francis Ngannou certainly has the scary knockout power to ruin the heavyweight debut of Jon Jones, who is considered the GOAT by many fans.

It is also rumoured that if either of the fighters cannot make the fight, then Curtis Blaydes will be the backup.

Jon Jones is an underdog against Francis Ngannou and rightfully so. The new weight class and long layoff do not play in the favour of Jon Jones.

In his UFC career, Jones has been underdog for only three times. The former light heavyweight champion was expected to lose against Andre Gusmao and Stephan Bonnar.

Jon Jones has defied odds before. He has also put on spectacular performances after long layoffs. But, can he beat the Predator at UFC 285?
