Former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in a recent interview revealed a bizarre text message that he received from John Cena at 1 a.m. in the morning.

On a recent episode of the Cheap Heat Podcast, Owens spoke about his relationship with the 16-time World champion and his upcoming tag team match with the veteran star.

The Canadian superstar recalled that he once received a text message from Cena saying that he loves wrestling in full capital letters at 1 am in the morning without any context.

Owens also praised the "Peacemaker" star and said that working with the legendary superstar has been a surreal experience for him.

Cena was Owens' first opponent when he made his WWE main roster debut in 2015. The Prizefighter was able to defeat Cena in their first feud.

The feud with Cena helped Owens massively as he was able to achieve success in the main roster following the program. Owens won the Universal Championship later in 2016.

Cena and Owens are set to face The Bloodline's Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a tag team match at next week's Smackdown.

With this match, Cena will be able to protect his record of having at least one WWE match every year since making his WWE debut in 2002.
