Ja Morant Suspended? Viral Adam Silver Video Causes Stir

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant is presently one of the NBA's most acrobatic athletes with a number of flashy dunks in his bag, and in recent years, his popularity has grown rapidly.

Although Morant is a monster on the floor, some concerns have been raised about his behavior off the court. He was charged with assaulting a teenage boy and got into a fight with the Indiana Pacers players after the game.

Morant was accused of repeatedly hitting and pointing a gun at a 17 year old boy during a pickup basketball game when a game-related disagreement got out of hand.

He was also accused by a mall security officer, who told authorities that Ja Morant "threatened" him during an altercation in the parking area of the mall.

After these allegations were reported, a video went viral on Twitter showing NBA commissioner Adam Silver saying that he had "decided to suspend Ja Morant from the NBA indefinitely.".

More than 1.6 million people have watched the video, and the same Twitter account published a photo of Morant with the comment, ‘Ja Morant has been suspended indefinitely as the Grizzlies have opened a new investigation.’

Later on, it was discovered that the video was fake; the video editor simply altered the audio, making it seem like the commissioner was discussing Morant.

Morant hasn't been suspended as of now, and he most likely won't be. Morant, who is averaging 27.1 points and 8.2 assists per game, is regarded as one of the league's top young players.
