The NBA, throughout its era, has had quite a number of controversies in relation to several star athletes. Memphis Grizzlies Ja Morant's ongoing gun incident suspension is, however, a testament to it.
In relation to the incident, speculations and blames against Morant's father, Tee Morant, have been arising, accusing him of his behavior and the unbotheredness shown towards the matter.
With the blame coming on him, a Grizzlies spokesperson shared details projecting Tee as the driving force behind Morant's blatant behavior reflected through his controversial gun incidents.
“Tee has been a major driving force in all of this. He never made the NBA, but this was his chance to live like an NBA superstar. That’s been a problem from the beginning.”
Followed by the blame game, ESPN on Wednesday published a long story depicting Morant's behavior over the period of 18 months while briefly detailing his father's wrongdoings of that time.
From his argument with former NFL fighter Shannon Sharpe during a game to supporting his son donning a t-shirt with the word 'redemption' written on it, Tee's actions were projected for fame.
Taking sides with his father, Morant, in an appraisal of his father, went on to social media with his support on his Instagram story, addressing the accusations stated in the article.
Posting a picture of himself training with his father beside him in support of him, Morant's post captioned, “Keep LIVIN the dream OG. This hoop in shii started with you; I just continued it.”
Ja Morant's 25-game suspension for the second gun incident, however, come into effect with the of the regular-season game this season, keeping him away from leading the Grizzlies towards the win.
