No NBA player has ever endured more physical torment than Shaquille O'Neal did during the course of his 19-year of Hall of Fame career.

The Diesel argued that he coasted during practice since he was getting badly beaten up during the game. This was just one of many things that soured Shaq's relationship with his former colleague Kobe Bryant.

Shaq said about Kobe: I just felt that sometimes he didn’t do it the right way. I know he felt that sometimes he felt that I didn’t work hard or whatever, whatever, but again it all worked,” claiming that their duo was the best in NBA.

Bensinger said: “[Phil Jackson] said something about you that I’m sure wasn’t intended to be critical but there’s no other way to really look at it.”

He continued: “…. That if you worked harder, he thought you could have won 10 consecutive MVPs. When you heard that, what was your reaction?”

O’Neal replied: “In the words of Allen Iverson, ‘We talking about practice?’ Did I work hard in practice? No. Never. And let me tell you why.

Shaq further said: “The guy that I’m playing against, they’re under me. So to try and show that they’re worthy of being an NBA player, they would touch me up. So, it was my philosophy….”

Even though Shaq has a bizarre philosophy regarding his game, he suggested the upcoming young talents not follow his way of practicing.
