WWE Raw last week saw the 25th-anniversary reunion of one of WWE’s all-time great factions the D Generation X.

The October 10th edition of the red brand had the DX members Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman, and Road Dogg coming out and celebrating the 25th year.

D Generation X officially was formed back in 1997 when Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna and Rick Rude came together and formed the iconic faction. Road Dogg, X-Pac and Billy Gunn joined the group later.

One member of the group was missing from the reunion as WWE legend Billy Gunn decided not to show up for the big occasion.

Billy Gunn is currently under contract with WWE’s rival promotion AEW and that could possibly be the reason why the leader of the Gunn club decided not to show up.

Speaking on his Oh… You Didn’t Know podcast, Road Dogg said that at one point it looked like the AEW star was going to appear on WWE TV but plans changed last minute.

Dogg also admitted that Gunn’s absence really made Triple H and the others sad as they were all looking forward to the segment.

The last time Billy Gunn appeared on WWE TV, Triple H made fun of AEW by calling it a “pissant company” and this could possibly be the reason why AEW decided not to send their star to a rival company.
