Leon Edwards did the unthinkable as he knocked Kamaru Usman out cold at UFC 278 to send a message to the entire welterweight division.
In the process, Edwards became the first fighter to earn a knockout win over Usman and the first ever Jamaican born UFC champion.

It goes without saying, nobody could have seen it coming, certainly not Usman's friend Israel Adesanya.
Adesanya was taken aback by the sudden turnaround in Usman vs Edwards, as he called Edwards, the real life Rocky.

Adesanya's reaction to Kamaru Usman KO was priceless, as the disbelief was quite evident on his face, just like many of us.
"I’m so happy for Leon and Tim Simpson but then I’m so sad for Kamaru. I know they are going to have a trilogy or something.” Adesanya said.

"My brother @usman84kg put on a showcase throughout the fight, overcoming adversity in the first round and coming back in rounds 2,3 & 4 showing what a champion is made of." Adesanya added on a post on Instagram.
Well, it must have been tough for Adesanya to watch his close friend and fellow Nigerian Kamaru Usman get knocked out. Do you think Usman beats Edwards in a trilogy?
