UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya losses his belt to his old rival Alex Pereira at the UFC 281.

Adesanya got knocked down by Pereira in the final round, in a fight where Adesanya had the upper hand for most of the first four rounds.

This means Alex Pereira is still undefeated against The Last Stylebender in professional combat sports.

Pereira and Adesanya faced each other twice in their kickboxing days when the Brazillian came on top on both occasions.

Adesanya has previously defended his title five times which made him one of the most dominating champions in middleweight history.

Alex Pereira has become a UFC champion for the first time in his career. He is the third new male champion this year, alongside Leon Edwards in the welterweight and Islam Makhachev in the lightweight.

In the co-main event of UFC 281, former champ Zhang Weili submitted the strawweight champion Carla Esparza in the second round to re-gain her title.

In Fight of the Night, lightweight contenders Poirier and Chnadler put on a show for the fans before Poirier won by submission in Round 3.
