Argentine World Cup-winning legend Lionel Messi now has more than a three-month break from the club soccer, and his possible loan move is growing as a top rumor.

As Inter Miami can't qualify for the 2023 MLS playoffs, Messi and Miami will end this MLS season on October 21. Miami will then play the next competitive match in February 2024 in the new MLS season.

While a loan move can be an option for Messi, his return to the Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona or joining any Saudi club are becoming the popular rumor options.

As there are some rumors about Saudi clubs targeting Messi as the next big signing, fans are excited to experience another Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo rivalry, fresh in the Saudi Pro League.

However, according to some previous media reports, Messi earlier chose to play in the United States MLS rather than join any Saudi Arabian clubs where he was also wanted.

Meanwhile, soccer journalist Fabrizio Romano recently revealed an update on Messi. The Argentine is only focusing on Argentina and Inter Miami and not considering any loan move.

Also, Messi has some fitness issues, as he missed Miami's four consecutive matches before returning to their last game. So, the upcoming break is much-needed for him to regain his top fitness.

As of now, it seems unlikely fir the fans to experience Messi again reuniting with Ronaldo, at least in the near future.
