Establishing himself among the league's greatest players since his draft in 2003, Los Angeles Lakers and NBA star LeBron James presence in the league remains in doubt.

With just two seasons left on his current extension contract with the Lakers, along with his retirement speculations, there have been rumors about his potential purchase of an NBA franchise.

After Michael Jordan's purchase of the Charlotte Hornets in 2010 to become its majority owner, LeBron is the next in line to become a prospect owner, with no official confirmation.

NBA legend Tracy McGrady has, however, hinted at providing some confirmation on LeBron's probable franchise purchase post-retirement with a recent Twitter post.

"I've heard for the last three years that it was gonna to be an expansion team out here in Las Vegas and that James is going to be the owner of that. It's his team. I heard through league channels."

NBA relations with Las Vegas have been linked to the Summer League's hosting in Sin City since 2004, along with other professional sports league matches held there.

Besides his dream to play together with his son Bronny James in the NBA, LeBron James portrayal as a franchise owner will be something new for NBA fans to look out for.

Talking about his desire to bring his own team in Las Vegas during an interview, James revealed, “I would love to bring a team here at some point. That would be amazing. I want the team here."

With a net worth of $1 billion and career earnings of $530 million, including lucrative endorsement deals and NBA contracts, the purchase could prove to be a beneficial move for James.
