According to recent reports, Dricus du Plessis has pulled out of his highly anticipated bout with his arch-rival Israel Adesanya. The bout was also a title shot for du Plessis.

Ariel Helwani reported on Twitter about du Plessis not being able to compete at UFC 293. In his lace, Adesanya will be facing fellow middleweight competitor Sean Strickland.

It’s not quite official but pretty close at this point that Dricus Du Plessis will not be able to fight Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. It’ll be AdesanyaxSean Strickland for the middleweight title on 9/9.

Isreal Adesanya reacted to this through a video he posted on Twitter, where he targeted a lot of slurs at du Plessis. He blamed him for not showing up and said that is not what a champion does.

"So, I’m fighting in Sydney. I don’t give a f*** who. ‘D***less du P****,’  d***less, f*** off. You’re out. Strickland, you’re in, let’s do the man dance, show you how to really dance." said Izzy.

Even Sean Strickland agreed with what Isreal had to say. He believed that Dricus might have felt underprepared as he had to fight on such short notice. He was ready to fight Adesanya then as well.

"It is very natural to say I might not want to do that. But I’m a f—ing man. I’m not a p—y. I have a price. You pay me money I’ll f—ing fight him right here. You f-ing pay me, we’ll fight right here.”

instead of Dricus, Izzy might battle it out with Sean Strickland on the 9th of September at UFC 293 for the middleweight title. It will be a thrilling fight, as the title is on the line.
