Ronda Rousey is one of the greatest female athletes of all time. Her remarkable career has inspired many but only a few are aware of the tragedy that she had to endure during her childhood.
Rousey's father Ron Rousey suffered from a rare blood disease which is similar to hemophilia and he committed suicide when she was just eight years old.
Her father's death had a huge impact on her life growing up as she admitted in her book ‘My Fight / Your Fight’ that she used to have self-hatred following her dad's early demise.
Ronda Rousey after her retirement from the octagon signed with professional wrestling giants WWE and she was able to achieve success there as well. She won the WWE women's title multiple times.
Rousey currently is on the Smackdown brand and she recently lost her Smackdown Women's Championship to Charlotte Flair. Future plans for her in the WWE as of now is unclear.
