Former WWE Champion Sheamus had a war of words on Twitter with WWE Hall of Famer Edge after WWE posted a throwback video where the Rated R Superstar is seen insulting the Irishman.

WWE's official Twitter handle posted the video from 2010 where Edge is seen insulting the Celtic Warrior who was the WWE Champion at that time by calling him an "Evil Ronald McDonald."

Sheamus then co-tweeted WWE's post with the caption: ".. and here i am about to surpass this gingerist pretend viking.  #ultimategrandslamchampion"

The Rated R Superstar provided the leader of The Brawling Brutes with a fitting reply for the insult and he also challenged Sheamus to a one-on-one match.

"Well right now I’m alone in The Hall of Won It All. I get lonely. Win that IC and we can have a chat Ronnie, whoops, Sheamo. Bout time we have a good old fashioned, grizzled 1 on 1 match." He said.

Edge and Sheamus are yet to face each other in singles competition in the WWE and after the interaction fans are really hoping that a future match will be on the card moving forward.

Circled Dot

The Hall of Famer recently made his return to the WWE during the men's Royal Rumble match. He is currently feuding with The Judgment Day on Raw.

Sheamus meanwhile is currently part of a newly formed tag team alongside his former rival Drew McIntyre and they're feuding with The Viking Raiders on Smackdown.
