Edmen Shahbazyan Says Splitting up With Ronda Rousey and Team Was “Definitely Needed”

Not so long ago, Edmen Shahbazyan was one of the brightest prospects in the UFC middleweight division.

At a very young age, Shahbazyan found himself in the top 15 of the middleweight division with an unbeaten record.

However, now he has suffered three consecutive losses to Derek Brunson, Jack Hermansson, and Nassouridne Imavov.

Well, Shahbazyan needed to change things up desperately and he did exactly the same by parting ways with his coach Edmond Tarverdyan and Ronda Rousey.

Shahbazyan has been training with Ronda Rousey and her coach since the beginning of his MMA career.

Explaining this huge move, Edmen Shahbazyan stated: “Going off my past two fights, I feel a change was definitely needed and it was long overdue. I looked at my options to see where I can be that I feel I can unleash my full potential and I believe Vegas had the best thing. I’m away from distractions. I can concentrate on training.

Moreover, Edmen Shahbazyan has signed with Ali Abdelaziz, who is arguably the best manager in MMA today.

Ronda Rousey once predicted that Shahbazyan would be a UFC champion in the future.

But, Shahbazyan will have to make drastic changes to his game if he is to achieve the UFC glory.
