Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler had one of the most exciting fights of the year in the main card of UFC 281.

The Diamond won the fight by a 3rd round submission. However, he was not happy with Michael Chandler cheating during the fight.

Dustin Poirier accused Chandler of fish hooking him to get a rear naked submission during the grappling exchanges.

Well, in the recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Dustin Poirier admitted that he bit Chandler's finger while the later was fish hooking him.

However, the former interim champion stopped biting Chandler's fingers after he realised what he was doing.

“He didn’t even try to pull it out when I bit. ... In the moment, when I was biting down on his fingers, I kind of stopped biting like, ‘Oh s***, what am I doing?’ Reality hit me. I’m glad I bit him, but it was an instinct"- Poirier stated.

Dustin Poirier bounced back from his loss to Charles Oliveira with the submission win over Michael Chandler.

However, it will be difficult for Poirier to get another shot at the lightweight title as he has already lost in his last two title fights.
