The much-anticipated Dominik Mysterio heel turn happened at The Clash at the Castle event during the tag team match between Edge, Rey Mysterio and The Judgement day.
After Edge and Rey secured the win, Dominik entered the ring and hit Edge with a below-the-belt kick.
Rey who was shocked after the incident tried to stop Dominik from attacking Edge but he ended up receiving a massive clothesline from his son.
Hardcore fans were quick to notice that this turn was a major throwback to an iconic WWE moment when Eddie Guerrero turned on Rey Mysterio back in 2005.
The real reason for the betrayal is unknown. While both Rey and Edge took to social media to voice their displeasure over the incident, we are yet to hear an explanation from Dominik.
Some believe that Dominik was upset because Rey chose Edge as his partner over his son for the tag match against The Judgment day.
It is unclear whether The Judgment day has played a part in convincing Dominik to turn on his father as the trio were seen laughing after the incident.
Guess we will have to tune into Raw this week to find out what is in store for Dominik and his dad moving forward.
