Daniel Cormier has announced on Instagram that he will be refereeing the fight between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins at WWE’s Extreme Rules on the 8th of October.

DC's association with the WWE has given fans hope that there will be finally a fight between him and Brock Lesnar. The fight could happen at  the Wrestle Mania.

Brock Lesnar and Daniel Cormier are both former UFC heavyweight champions but never fought each other in the octagon.

At UFC 226, Cormier knocked out Stipe Miocic to take the heavyweight title. He became only the second fighter to hold two UFC belts simultaneously.

In the post-fight interview, DC called out Brock Lesnar (who was present at the event) to get into the octagon. This was one of the most iconic moments in the UFC.

Lesnar entered the octagon and called out every heavyweight contender including Miocic and Ngannou. "DC I am coming for you **********", said the pro wrestling star.

When UFC President Dana White was asked why DC vs Lesnar never happened, he just said that it was because of Lesnar's WWE contract.

Fans also speculated in the past that Lesnar would return to the octagon for the UFC 300 and would probably fight Jon Jones.
