UFC releases Nate Diaz's Protege Nick Maximov after a run of poor performances and multiple losses.

He had previously fought Dana White Contender series in November 2020 where he beat Oscar Cota in the heavyweight division.

Before entering the UFC, Nick Maximov had an unbeaten MMA record of 6-0. He made his MMA debut in 2018.

Maximov made his debut UFC debut in September 2021 at the early prelims of UFC 266, where he defeated Cody Brundage in a middleweight bout.

Veteran UFC fighter Nate Diaz's contract with the promotion also expired in September. He ended his career on a high with a win against Tony Ferguson.
