Cristiano Ronaldo is accounted as the best Portuguese footballer of all time. He has brought 2 major international trophies back home and those are the only trophies Portugal has ever won.
But lately, it has been a tough time for Ronaldo as he lost his unborn child and after a while, Cristiano was fired from Man Utd over his controversial interview.
However, Ronaldo was more affected by Portugal's coach Fernando Santos's decision to bench him during some important matches of the 2022 FIFA world cup knowing very well that it was his last world cup.
Many known faces including the family members of Ronaldo voiced out their opinion and appealed to the coach to stop this injustice towards Ronaldo as he has given his everything for the country.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statement regarding Ronaldo's benching made some news. He said," They have wasted Ronaldo. Unfortunately, they have imposed a political ban on him".
The Turkish president also believes that Ronaldo is a firm supporter of Palestinians. However, there is no clinical evidence to back this statement.
Some sources also reported that Ronaldo had donated $1.59 million to Palestinians courtesy of his two golden shoes however that turned out to be misinformation as his managing company denied those reports.
Meanwhile, An image also got viral where Cristiano was seen holding a pro-Palestinian board which turned out to be a fake picture. In fact, amidst these false narratives, Ronaldo met many Israeli diplomats.
