Despite the glory and recognition, Ronaldo had to face a tough time after getting expelled from Manchester United, which was later followed by a drastic dip in his form.
After joining, Al-Nassr, the former Real Madrid striker, was expected to perform well in a fairly easier league than he has previously played and rocked.
And statistically, Ronaldo did pretty well in the initial matches of Al-Nassr, as in his 7 appearances he scored 8 goals and had 2 assists.
However, Ronaldo had an off day in the recent Al-Nassr fixture vs. Al Batin, and netizens didn't cut him any slack as they brutally criticized him for the rusty performance.
Although the Al-Nassr captain got a clear-cut chance after squaring up the Al-Batin GK, he failed to score even a single goal.
A fan reacting to the match tweeted, "What a shameless footballer can't even get a green rating against the bottom of the league," while another fan wrote, "Ronaldo's legs are gone. It's this retirement."
In addition, a football enthusiast tweeted, "Cristiano Ronaldo has just went goalless against the team ranked 16th place in the Saudi League, which is ranked #2,343 in the whole world."
Despite the southpaw's dull day, Al-Nassr went on to win the game courtesy of three comeback goals in injury time by Abdulrahman Ghareeb, Mohammed Al-Fatil, and Mohammed Maran.
