In 2013, Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo met star Pop singer Rihanna at a concert. Ronaldo is reportedly known as a big fan of the Barbadian singer.
Ronaldo even posted a picture of their meeting on Twitter (presently known as X). There was even media speculation about their relationship nature.
During that period, Real Madrid star Ronaldo was dating Irina Shayk, a Russian model and television personality.
Later, when Rihanna was asked about her relationship nature with Ronaldo, she said according to a report by the Argentinian daily La Nacion, "I have many gay friends and I support sexual diversity."
However, the real context of this quote is unclear, although some media speculated that Rihanna indirectly tagged Ronaldo as her gay friend. Some media believe that she accidentally made that comment.
Ronaldo was once allegedly in a gay relationship with Moroccan kickboxer Badr Hari. Their images had captions like “Just married", and “Wedding.” But, the seriousness of these captions is doubtful.
There is no further status about the relationship between Ronaldo and Badr. Although Ronaldo has supported the LGBTQ+ community, he never participated in their support related to the soccer games.
Since 2016, Ronaldo has been in a relationship with Georgina Rodríguez, a Spanish social media influencer and model. Both are very open in public about their strong relationship.
