Conor McGregor might not be as active as he used to be before he jumped over to the boxing world to face Floyd Mayweather.

In the year 2016, Conor McGregor had the best year of his MMA career, in which he fought 4 times in UFC.

Conor McGregor fought Jose Aldo, Nate Diaz twice and Eddie Alvarez in one year and secured three wins.

McGregor sold 5.4 million PPVs for those 4 fights and knocked out then #1 P4P fighter Jose Aldo in 13 seconds to win the featherweight title.

Conor McGregor also knocked out then lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez to become the first double champion in the UFC.

It's safe to say that UFC is now struggling to sell 5.4 million PPVs in one year without Conor McGregor's fight cards.

The biggest stars of the UFC such as Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman can't cross the 1 million PPV buys mark consistently.

Conor McGregor is on a two fight losing streak at the moment and he is expected to make his return in 2023.
