The two-division champion Jon Jones is all set to make his first heavyweight title defense against one of the toughest competitors in the heavyweight division, Stipe Miocic.

The bout is all set to take place at Madison Square Garden, New York in UFC 295. Both Jones and Miocic first got into a small feud over internet which led to Moicic accepting the fight against Jones.

Former UFC champion McGregor chipped in with his views about the upcoming fight in a street interview. He said Miocic has the required tools to defeat Jones.

"Jones-Miocic is a great heavyweight bout. Jon proved his worth in heavyweight division and Stipe, they say is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. He got some things that could trouble Jon."

Stipe Miocic is a reputed name in the heavyweight division who has been inactive since his loss to Ngannou in 2021. He has taken down popular UFC fighters like Cormier, Overeem, and even Ngannou.

While Miocic has set his mind back on the ring, he seem pretty serious and prepared about it. He even clarified doubts about his mentality and probable rusted skills on the Believe You Me podcast.

"I’m going to do what I want because the minute I let him stop doing what I want, I’ve lost the fight. I’m just going to beat him in every aspect of the game. I’m definitely going for the finish.”- said Stipe.

Hence, it will just be a matter of time before the MMA community witness whether Stipe Miocic proves himself and Conor true or Jon Jones continues his legacy of successful title defences.
