Cody Rhodes started his career with WWE, but things went wrong along the way. He had his fair share of failed gimmicks, including a nondescript character as part of the team Priceless.
Rhodes donned the Stardust gimmick after teaming with Goldust, but it proved to be a waste of his skills. The character sent him spiralling down the card and eventually led to his departure from WWE.
Rhodes joined the Bullet Club as Bullet Club Cody in NJPW. Despite some championship opportunities, he consistently fell short. However, he did have a brief run as the IWGP United States Champion.
As EVP of AEW and The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes rediscovered himself. He became a fan favourite, put on fantastic matches, and held the TNT Championship three times.
After that, Rhodes decided to make his WWE return, where he delivered some of his career's biggest matches. His return as the "American Nightmare" led him to headline the main event of WrestleMania.
Cody's wife, Brandi Rhodes, reacted to the warm welcome received by her husband by the crowd as they started singing every word of his theme song "Kingdom" when he made his entrance.
Recently, Brandi replied to the critics questioning Cody`s decision to return to WWE, saying, "And some people still say he should have stayed where he was...maybe we should let that one go for now,"
Despite multiple gimmick failures, Cody Rhodes remained determined to prove his critics wrong and achieve his goal of becoming a top WWE star with his wife Brandi Rhodes' support.
