CM Punk made his much anticipated return to the AEW ring on the Aug. 17 episode of Dynamite and what followed has certainly shocked the fans.

CM Punk is set to take on Jon Moxley next for the undisputed AEW world title. Needless to say, the excitement for the match-up is quite high.

However, in the midst of it all, Punk recently decided to call out Adam Hangman Page and if reports are to be believed, that wasn't supposed to happen.

Dave Meltzer says, "“CM Punk thing at the start of the show with Adam Page. That was weird, for everyone — nobody knew he was going to do that."

CM Punk apparently took business in his own hands. Those close to the company believe that Punk is not happy about a lot of things going on in AEW.

While there's no confirmation to the same, and Punk has not stated this explicitly, the report comes from those in the locker room.
