Former WWE writer Vince Russo feels that Smackdown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair should stand up to the WWE as Vince McMahon isn't in charge anymore.

Russo talking to Sportskeeda Wrestling said that Charlotte shouldn't let WWE book her lazily and she should talk to the creative team and understand plans for her character.

The pro wrestling veteran also urged Charlotte Flair to reject booking decisions if she's unhappy with her character direction.

The Queen made a surprise return to the WWE on last week's Smackdown and challenged Ronda Rousey for the Smackdown Women's Championship.

Flair was able to create an immediate impact upon her arrival as she was able to defeat an exhausted Ronda Rousey and take the Smackdown Women's Championship home.

As of now, it's unclear whether Charlotte has creative control in the company but according to Russo, she should demand better booking from the creative team.

It looks like Triple H's plan is to have Charlotte as the blue brand's top Women's Champion heading into Wrestlemania and as of now, her Mania opponent is unknown.

There are reports that Vince McMahon is plotting a comeback to the WWE and it'll be interesting to see if that will have an impact on the creative direction of certain superstars including Charlotte.
