"Can't be Friendly": Serena Williams Wasn't Good Friends With Her Biggest Rival

In a recent interview with WTA Insider, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova recounted her on-court role models are  Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams.

She believes "Most of them were very distant it was how she should conduct herself on the tennis courts, on the tour, and everywhere else since they were succeeding".

Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova share some striking resemblance. They both are former World No. 1 players on the WTA tour.

She came to believe that was the kind of player you had to be to make it as a tennis pro.

The two's rivalry has had ups and downs off the court despite their tremendous success on the tour.

Williams on their rivalry stated that Maria starts every interview with: I'm happy or I'm lucky. It's a bore! She's still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it.

But Recently Serena Williams opened up about her true feelings for Maria Sharapova on her Instagram when asked to talk about Maria.

And Williams in the Instagram story said that how now they are very good friends and share a great bond.
