Baltimore boxing champion Gervonta Davis was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest and 200 hours of community service for his involvement in a hit-and-run that injured four people in November 2020.

The judge also ordered Davis to be on probation for three years after his time under house arrest and pay court fees of $165 within six months and a fine of $100.

In February, Davis pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including hit-and-run causing bodily harm, driving with a suspended license, running a red light, and failing to report property damage.

The incident leading to these charges occurred in the early morning of November 5, 2020, when Davis left the Medusa Restaurant & Lounge in downtown Baltimore and drove off in his Lamborghini.

Davis' entourage had arranged a police escort for him from the nightclub to a hotel, but he diverted from his police escort and ran a red light, eventually colliding with a 2004 Toyota Solara.

After the collision, Davis left the scene, and the four occupants of the Toyota were subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment of cuts, bruises, and sprains.

During the hearing, one of the victims in the crash, Jyaire Smith, stated that she hasn't received any compensation or apology from Davis. She is seeking around $92,000 to cover her medical costs.

Davis did not address the court during the hearing. However, his coach, Calvin Ford, testified that Davis has taken responsibility for his actions and has made efforts to become a better person.
