UFC legend Anderson Silva's statement has put his next boxing match against Jake Paul into a jeopardy.

Silva is scheduled to take on YouTuber turned-professional boxer Jake Paul on October 29, in Glendale, Arizona.

Speaking to MMA Weekly, the former UFC middleweight champion said he had been knocked out twice by his training partners in a sparring session.

Silva said that he even talked to his coach about him getting knocked out and his coach said, "You need to prepare for war, and you prepare for war."

Though, several fans believe that Silva is just playing mind games with Jake Paul and that no fighter would say something like this for himself.

Anderson Silva's long-term coach Luiz Carlos Dorea also denied Silva's statement and said he didn't get knocked out and is 100% ready for the fight.

The Arizona Department of Gaming has said that they are looking into the matter and have no further comment at this time.

In Arizona, all fighters above 36 have to submit several forms related to physical health which include dates of their most recent knockouts and unconsciousness.
