UFC Champion Aljamain Sterling Will Leave Bantamweight Division

Aljamain Sterling is the current undisputed UFC bantamweight champion.

Sterling has some exciting potential matchups in the bantamweight division next.

Aljamain Sterling might take on former UFC champions such as Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw next.

However, Sterling is likely to move up to featherweight division after one more title defense.

Sterling's long time training partner, Merab Dvalishvili is a strong title contender in the bantamweight division.

And to avoid clash with his training partner ad good friend, Sterling is willing to relinquish the UFC bantamweight title.

“After Merab’s next win, I will probably have to move up, to allow him his chance that he earned, to make history for Georgia to win a world title. We will figure it out.”- Aljamain Sterling tweeted

Merab Dvalishvili is on a 7 fight winning streak in the bantamweight division.

His wrestling heavy approach will certainly put top bantamweights in trouble.

On the other hand, it won't be crazy if Sterling gets a title shot in the featherweight division.
