The people closest to Roger Federer are his family. While competing for Switzerland in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the tennis star and his wife Mirka initially became acquainted. They finally got married in 2009.

Since then, they have welcomed two pairs of identical twins, growing their family to six members. The couple had identical twin daughters, Charlene Riva and Myla Rose, in July 2009.

"It's been a lot of fun being a father and spending time with them," he said of his then-6-week-old twins. "I'm hands on as much as I can because everyday is something new and something different. I don't want to miss anything." said Roger.

In 2013, Roger and Mirka joyfully announced their second pregnancy on Christmas Eve. Leo and Lenny Federer, another set of identical twins, were born to the couple on May 6, 2014.

The mother of four frequently takes her kids to see Roger play. In 2017, Mirka and both sets of twins were present to support Roger as he won Wimbledon.

"I saw the boys for the first time, and [seeing] them coming out to centre court and knowing how much center court means to me, and seeing them like not knowing what's going on," Federer laughed.

"She has warmed me up before finals, watched countless matches even while over 8-months pregnant and has endured my goofy side on the road with my team for over 20 years," he said in his retirement speech.

Federer also added, "I also want to thank my four wonderful children for supporting me, always eager to explore new places and creating new memories along the way." His love for his family is beautiful.
