Kurt Angle on Twitter thanked the WWE Creative Head Triple H for the birthday celebrations on last week's Smackdown.

"Thank you @tripleh @wwe Now back to being retired… until next time #yousuck" the WWE Hall of Famer tweeted alongside a picture of the two.

Angle celebrated his 54th birthday on the blue brand last week from his home town in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

He was accompanied by Olympic Gold medalist Gable Steveson and he also met his kayfabe son Jason Jordan who made a rare TV appearance.

The Olympic Gold medalist ended the episode of Smackdown by recreating an iconic moment from his attitude era days with a milk truck.

The Alpha academy came out to spoil the party for Angle but the WWE legend was able to get revenge by spraying Otis and Gable with milk from a milk truck.

WWE superstars then gave Angle a huge celebration after Smackdown went off the air as they sang Happy Birthday to the veteran alongside the crowd.

Angle is currently signed with the WWE in a legend's contract and as of now there are no plans for him to appear on WWE TV moving forward after this week's one off appearance.
