Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, recently removed the verified marks on the Twitter accounts of MMA fighters, including the legacy accounts that include world-renowned personalities and global entities.

The latest change to Twitter has affected the MMA community; many UFC fighters are expressing their thoughts and reactions regarding this update on social media.

UFC middleweight fighter Chris Curtis expressed his dissatisfaction through a tweet. He wrote, "Was the point of verification not to protect people having their brand and identity f****d with?"

UFC bantamweight Brian Kelleher declared himself "self-verified" and posted a picture of himself with a new do-it-yourself blue check mark, calling the move "bulls***.".

The UFC lightweight fighter, Derek Brunson, has responded to Elon Musk`s decision with a hilarious post., He wrote, " F a Blue check. I Ain’t Paying $5 and I’m a Millionaire."

Stephen Thompson also joined his MMA colleagues in reacting to this situation, he made a hilarious post, writing, "Just want to verify that I am actually still myself and this is real true Wonderboy."

UFC star, Kelvin Gastelum raised a concern regarding the change in verified accounts; he wrote, "If any social media platform that was given me for free, is now asking me to pay, I will delete it."

MMA fighters use Twitter to reach out to their fans and other fighters, and the removal of verified marks has put them in a tough spot as it might create an authenticity issue for them.
