The octagons of several MMA promotions have seen some of the most talented fighters on the planet. But some of these fighters have not limited their skills to the ring, truly becoming heroes for many.

These heroes have used their decision-making skills with the skills they have honed through the years, helping people's lives when they were at hyper-critical moments in their lives.

The first on the list is Meisha 'cupcake' Tate who helped Bryan Caraway's mother when they were on vacation. Caraway's mother was asthmatic and lost her inhalers when Tate gave her CPR and saved her.

The next on the list is Guy Mezger, who saved a woman from a manic at Texas. In the process, he got his left arm hurt but saved the woman from the man, as well as her reputation in front of all.

UFC welterweight Kevin Holland has a list of altruistic activities under his name. He has stopped a carjacker, handing him in. He stopped a gunman in Houston and even pursued a perfume thief.

Chris Mintz, an amateur MMA fighter and army veteran, is truly a real life hero. Mintz put himself between Oregon's students and hijacker, getting shot in the process and still surviving.

The two division champion Jon Jones has put his in-ring skills to apt use by pursuing a thief once just hours before his title fight. The thief was after an elderly couple whom he saved.

These UFC fighters have proven themselves as real-life heroes for the ones they helped without caring about extraneous factors, even if it was a major fight of their lives.
