5-Time WWE Champion Announces Retirement  After Royal Rumble Match

WWE Hall of Famer and Commentator Booker T has announced his retirement from in-ring wrestling competitions while speaking on his podcast.

Booker T is a five-time WCW Champion, and many experts regard him as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his era.

Booker has worked with multiple wrestling firms such as WCW, WWF/WWE, and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), winning 35 championship titles among these organizations.

After making his debut in WWE, Booker T attacked Stone Cold and injured him easily at the King of the Ring pay-per-view, gaining the attention of the WWE fans.

Two years hence, he eliminated The Rock to win a battle royal and become the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XIX.

King Booker last fought in WWE in 2007. He made his return to WWE as the 30th entrant in the Royal Rumble 2023 main event, where he was eliminated by Gunther.

In his podcast, Booker admitted that it is hard for him to retire from his lengthy career but he finally made up his mind and said, "I’m gonna tell you right now, I think that was the last time people are going to see me in the ring. "

"At Reality of Wrestling, I’m going to work with my students, but as far as putting my boots on again, that was the last time.''  the wrestling legend further added.
