3 NXT Superstars Debut on Friday Night SmackDown

The post-WrestleMania episode of Friday Night SmackDown was a stacked show with plenty of surprises.

Shinsuke Nakamura stepped up to The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and is likely going to be his opponent at WrestleMania Backlash.

Liv Morgan scored an impressive victory over Sasha Banks, improving her stock as a single's star.

And we were treated to not one, but three NXT call-ups!

The first was former 2x NXT Tag Team Champion Marcel Barthel.

He's been re-packaged as Ludwig Kaiser, the bilingual mouthpiece for his Ring General.

The 2nd debut was by the longest-reigning WWE NXT UK Champion, GUNTHER (fka WALTER).

He impressed in his first SmackDown appearance, crushing an enhancement talent to make a statement.

And the final call-up was former NXT Women's Champion and 2x NXT Women's Tag Team Champion Raquel Gonzalez.

Now going by Raquel Rodriguez, she is sure to shake up the fledgling SmackDown women's roster with her unique in-ring style.

These 3 call-ups have the potential to re-vitalize Friday Night SmackDown, which has been getting stale of late.

Unless, of course, WWE drops the ball with them; something they can't afford to do now that all eyes are on them.
