SUMMARY
- Nikola Jokic confronted Anthony Edwards for waving goodbye to Nuggets fans.
- Edwards savagely pointed at the scoreboard while the Timberwolves were up to show Jokic why he did that.
Anthony Edwards certainly has a lot of confidence in himself, which is what makes him intimidating to his opponents as well. Edwards didn’t have the greatest showing against the Denver Nuggets, but he somehow led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a Game 7 win. The Wolves pulled off the biggest playoff game comeback victory in 25 years. By the end of the game, Edwards started waving goodbye to fans present in the Ball Arena.

But 3x MVP Nikola Jokic took it personally and confronted Edwards about it. LegendZ on X released audio and video footage of the brief exchange they had. Jokic asked Edwards, “Why?”, to which the latter responded, “Why what?”. Jokic asked him why he waved at the crowd, seemingly taking offense to what Edwards did. The Timberwolves guard simply pointed at the scoreboard to indicate that his team was leading.
Anthony Edwards couldn’t stop yapping at the Nuggets
Anthony Edwards’ ability to talk trash and bully his opponents is something we’ve only seen players like Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan do constantly. The 22-year-old has had an impressive run in the playoffs this season averaging 28.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game along with 1.7 steals. He has led the Timberwolves to their first-ever Western Conference Finals appearance since 2004.

During the first round, Anthony Edwards was seen going back and forth with his biggest idol, Kevin Durant. The Timberwolves managed to sweep the Phoenix Suns as well. Edwards earned major respect from Durant with the veteran calling the guard his favourite player at the moment.
During Game 7, Edwards could barely get himself going offensively, finishing with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals. At one point during the game, Edwards blatantly asked Jamal Murray not to trap him. Murray responded with a grin on his face saying, “We got to, bro.” Edwards is certainly going to be a problem for the Dallas Mavericks in WCF. Even if he fails to produce numbers offensively, he is a consistent defender, who can meet opponents at the rim.
