An ‘X’ user, ‘TY and That Guy Podcast’ wrote on his X, “We did a podcast recently covering Predator and the the guys on the show were like… ok sure Arnold was still big but good lord Carl looked jacked!!!” to which Carl gave a definite reply.

In saddening news, Carl Weathers died at the age of 76 on February 1, 2024. According to the statement issued by his family, he died peacefully in his sleep. His former co-stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, paid tribute to their late fellow actor.

Carl Weathers had an NFL career before he became an actor
Carl Weathers started his football career playing as a defensive end in college. He started playing in 1966 at Long Beach City College and was later transferred to San Diego State University. He signed with the Oakland Raiders in the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 1970.
Carl played seven games for the Raiders in 1970 and helped them win the AFC West Division title. He was released by the Raiders in 1971, and later in the same year, he signed with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. He played 13 games with the Lions and retired from his football career in 1974.
He went to San Francisco State University to earn a bachelor’s degree in drama. He played eight games in total during his NFL career in two seasons but could not record any stats. Carl Weathers was a great actor and a humble human being, and during his lifetime, he received a lot of love from the fans.
