SUMMARY
- Seth Rollins was suffering from a knee injury during WrestleMania 40.
- Recently surfaced videos show exactly how bad of a condition Rollins was in.
Despite not winning a single match on both nights, Seth Rollins emerged out of WrestleMania 40 as the biggest MVP of the show.
Fans might have gotten lost in the madness of The Undertaker and John Cena’s WrestleMania appearances. But truthfully, it was The Architect’s sacrifice that allowed Cody Rhodes to finish his story.
Seth Rollins went through a knee surgery this week, out for around 9 months…
Insane to think he was in action 3 times during Mania.

From a storyline perspective, Seth Rollins’ character took multiple hits across both nights of WrestleMania. However, his body suffered even more while trying to make the 40th edition of WrestleMania a show for the ages.
Several fans online have come across videos that prove that The Visionary was in no condition to go through such grueling action. The WWE Universe is in awe of Rollins’ determination that helped him push through the pain at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Triple H‘s decision to let the former World Heavyweight Champion put his body on the line also garnered some valid criticism. If Seth Rollins’ body was not in the condition to work through multiple matches, why wasn’t his schedule lessened accordingly?
Seth Rollins’ struggle with injuries draws sympathetic reactions from the fans
One user noticed how Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ physical issues held him back from using certain moves with full force. As seen in this video, The Messiah couldn’t execute The Curb Stomp at its full effect, leading to an awkward fall on his injured hip.
I didn’t even realise this until now.
Seth Rollins had to modify the stomp at WrestleMania due to his injury, that’s how bad it was.
However, he still competed in not one, but TWO WrestleMania matches, with less than 24hrs between each of them.

This is one of the main reasons why Rollins couldn’t get past Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania Night 2.
Knowing that Seth Rollins had surgery to repair a torn meniscus a few days ago makes what he did at WrestleMania even more gutsy.
Rollins is the man. ✊🏽 pic.twitter.com/Y7ta0U9oFN

In a recent interview, Becky Lynch revealed that Seth Rollins had surgery for his torn meniscus this very week. In hindsight, Rollins’ terrible apron fall during the Night 1 tag team match seems even more gruesome.
Another user posted a video of Seth “Freakin” Rollins sneaking into the ring to attack The Rock. The clip reveals how Rollins’ body was so banged up that he could barely walk to the ring.
The scenes got uglier when Roman Reigns hit his former Shield brother with a Superman Punch. The punch felt more like a bullet, bringing down Rollins’ broken body to the floor. A user expressed sorrow on seeing a fan-favorite like The Drip God in such excruciating pain.
DUDE HIS LEG WHEN HE FELL BRO??? Seth Rollins hate will NEVER be supported by me when he’s doing stuff like this. pic.twitter.com/mVm0hNTweS

By the time Seth Rollins got through with his match against Drew McIntyre, his body was in the tatters. However, as a performer, the 37-year-old has never let his injuries hold him back from serving the WWE Universe.
However, it does seem like a questionable decision on Triple H’s part to allow his top talent to perform under such poor health. The Visionary’s physical condition should have been treated as the primary concern by WWE, irrespective of what changes it meant for the ongoing storylines.
Oh man, this angle 💔💔💔
It really breaks my heart watching him like this..These tears are so precious#ThankYouSeth for everything, truly you’re a legend 🤍
The MVP of WrestleMania, The MVP of WWE, The MVP of the entire industry

Seth Rollins’ back, held by several layers of duct tape, was in such a terrible condition that The Visionary couldn’t even roll out of the ring. Despite all these issues, it is remarkable how Rollins still managed to show up in the Night 2 main event to take a bullet for The American Nightmare.
Should WWE have allowed him to put his body through such hurt remains a debatable question.
Seth Rollins’ recent surgery will keep him out of action for an indefinite period
Now that the news of his surgery has been revealed, it is evident that Seth “Freakin” Rollins will not participate in in-ring action for a long time. If there is anyone in WWE who genuinely deserves a long time off, it’s Rollins.
This video takes on another meaning, he knew he had to have surgery, he knew he would have to stop his passion from the ring for months💔#WWE #SmackDown #SethRollins pic.twitter.com/JqlwRktF9q

Having earned fans’ respect as a workhorse champion, Rollins’ stock has surely risen. Once The Architect returns to the ring, he is destined for another entertaining run at the top of the card.
