Marvel Studios have produced some of the greatest superhero movies ever but some of their recent creations have left the fans divided. UFC commentator and famous podcast host Joe Rogan has been a critic of the creative steps taken by the company in the recent past. He has even said in his podcast once that every movie that Marvel has made after Avengers is ‘sh*t’.
This time around, the Rogan was of the opinion that because of the introduction of the concept of Multiverse, Marvel Cinematic Universe are now allowed to do anything they want.
In his podcast with comedian Brian Simpson, Joe Rogan said, “They are allowed to weird sh*t now because of the multiverse. They just go back in time and reset things.”
This was related to Marvel’s Multiverse which comprises a variety of superheroes and storylines. The guest on the podcast, Simpson also agreed with Rogan and was of the opinion that because of the kind of cult that they have managed to build, Marvel just has to produce movies that are above average. He also thinks that the company is deviating from the origin of the movies which is the Marvel comics.
Simpson justified his statement by giving the example of Thanos a character from Avengers: Infinity War. He said that Thanos was a much darker character in the comics but in the movie, he was given some positive traits.
Joe Rogan hates this Marvel Avenger
Joe has time and again commented on the MCU and he has also praised some movies of the franchise such as Avengers: Infinity War. However, the UFC commentator expressed his dislike for one particular Avenger which is ‘Hawkeye’.
Rogan said, “I got to say, I f**king hate Hawkeye though. That stupid Marvel character, all he has is a bow and arrow. It’s so dumb, everybody else is The Hulk and they f**king can do crazy sh*t. Dr. Strange can summon other universes and this dude is just shooting sh**ty arrows at aliens.”
When talking about Hawkeye’s strength, Rogan went all logical and said that the Avenger’s power does not make sense to him.
The popular podcaster expressed, “There’s aliens flying around in spaceships and he’s shooting arrows at them. Like that’s so dumb. He never runs out of arrows. It infuriates me.”
While Rogan may have made a sensible point in his statement, Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, was an important character in movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which are among the highest grossing movies of all time.
