Former middleweight champion Alex Pereira recently engaged in a sparring session with his son. Poatan is one of the scariest fighters on UFC’s roster and has wins over three UFC champions in a very short amount of time. Turns out the Brazilian fighter wants to pass this knowledge to the next generation as he tests his son inside the cage.
The sparring session took place at the Teixeira MMA and Fitness Gym. Alex’s son displayed that he has a knack for throwing leg kicks similar to his father. Although his son tried his best he was not able to get the best of his father.
Yet, the sparring session impressed many fight fans as they took to X to praise Pereira’s kid. The leg kicks from the Brazilian seemed to be the highlight of the session as it received several praises. Many even stated that Alex was preparing his son to fight Israel Adesanya for his antics at UFC 287.

” His son is training that leg kick for Izzy,” tweeted one fan. Meanwhile, others suggested that Pereira held back and was simply blowing off some steam for being pranked. “He needed an excuse to blow off some steam after his son scared the s**t outta him,” tweeted another user.
Although Pereira’s kid impressed many, this was the second time Alex did not knockout his kid. The first being when his kids tried to prank him after his training session.

Despite making his UFC debut in 2021, Alex Pereira has become a prominent figure in UFC. The Brazilian fighter has made a name for himself for his devastating punches and his stoic behavior. Alex is not easily scared by anyone and his kids took it upon themselves to challenge that belief.
One of Pereira’s sons was dressed as an alien hiding behind a wall trying to prank his father. Meanwhile the other recorded the scene from upstairs as they kept waiting for Alex to come home. As soon as Pereira entered the house, his son jumped from behind the wall but regretted the decision immediately.

Alex thought that it was an intruder and almost knocked out his son. However, both his sons urged him to stop as soon as they saw Poatan charging his hand for a punch. The 36-year-old then went on to yell at his kids out of frustration.
“F** this is not a joke, you only do s*t,” yelled Pereira. It was truly a lucky day for his kid as he was a split second away from being dropped by Poatan. Just goes to show that nothing inside and outside the octagon scares Alex Pereira.
