One of the most exciting fights of the welterweight division has finally been booked. The rematch between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal has been officially booked for UFC 261. And guess what! None of them is willing to stop taking brutal jabs at the other.
With that being said, the champ has a chilling message for the challenger. Recently, Usman sat down with TMZ Sports for an interview where he talked about his rematch against his foe Gamebred Masvidal. Check out the message he has for Jorge:
“You said you wanted more than six days. Well guess what! Now, I’ve given you six weeks. You asked for three [weeks], but I doubled it. I gave you six.”
“So, April 24th, this time there’ll be no excuse. That’s it, there will be no excuse. Let’s go on. You know what I’m looking to do is put the nail in the coffin. So, you know, bring your best game.”
Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal 2 is scheduled for UFC 261
The first time when these two men met, Masvidal came in as a late replacement for Gilbert Burns who got diagnosed by COVID-19. The outcome of the bout slipped out of the challenger’s hands. However, the bout failed to live up to its hype as neither fighter could do considerable damage to the other.
Despite the lack-luster first bout, the extreme hatred both men have for each other makes the rematch worth watching. So, here we are! Just a little more than a month away from the ultimate battle.

Talking about The Nigerian Nightmare, he’s fresh off a scintillating defense against his former teammate Gilbert Burns. This marked his third successful title defense since his claiming the welterweight throne. Before that, he had made his second defense against Masvidal himself. This fight is just another opportunity for the champ to extend his reign over the 170lb division.
Talking about Gamebred, his last fight was a decision loss to the champ Kamaru Usman. Well, this fight is a golden opportunity for him to not only claim the 170lb strap, but avenge his previous loss as well. It will be fascinating to see how this rematch goes.
Who is going to get his hand raised on April 24th. Will Kamaru Usman make his fourth title defense or will we see a new welterweight champion in Jorge Masvidal? What do you think?
