SUMMARY
- UFC President Dana White walked out of Howie Mandel's podcast recently.
- After exchanging pleasantries, White walked out of the podcast abruptly.
UFC President Dana White is perhaps one of the busiest men on planet Earth. From making exciting fights to signing a brand new endorsement deal almost every day for the UFC, the 54-year-old is simply everywhere. Not only that, but White has also become an influencer of sorts in recent times. From “F*ck It Fridays” to making numerous appearances on podcasts all across the world, White has had his fair share of the spotlight.
However, being in the public eye 24×7 also takes its toll on a person. Recently, something similar happened during White’s appearance on a popular podcast. The Connecticut native agreed to be on episode 164 of the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast. Mandel started off by complimenting the $500 million-rich businessman and thanking him for being on the show.
But, to everyone’s surprise, Dana walked out of the program. Before leaving, White added, “Thank you for all the kind words, I appreciate it. I’m so f*cking tired of doing podcasts. I’m literally done with them, I’m not doing any more podcasts.”
As evident in the clip, there was an awkward silence after White stormed out of the podcast. It was unprecedented for Dana White, who is known for his strict professionalism. Hence, many wondered what really happened on the podcast. He has finally decided to break the silence on the matter.
Dana White speaks on walking out of Howie Mandel’s podcast
UFC President Dana White recently appeared before the journalists after the UFC 298 PPV. He gave his thoughts on Ilia Topuria extending his unbeaten streak to 15 and knocking out Alexander Volkanovski to become the UFC champion. He also broke the news that Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill will fight for the light heavyweight title in the UFC 300 main event.
But that was not the only issue White addressed during the press conference. He also spoke on the viral podcast moment with Howie Mandel and added, “Yeah, please, you know where I’m with the podcasts. I feel like Jordan f*cking Peterson every time I turn on Instagram, I’m on a f*cking podcast. No more podcasts, please.”
While Dana did not answer the question explicitly, it can be derived from his answer that White is burnt out from all the podcast appearances. White has an association with the Nelk Boys and has produced a lot of content for them. Aside from that, Dana has also done podcasts with Logan Paul, Andrew Schulz, and other big podcasts. Many also forget that White also appeared on the “Joe Rogan Experience” in February 2013. So it is safe to say that White has had enough.
