According to various reports on the internet, UFC is planning Michael Chandler vs Conor McGregor for UFC 300. Just recently, Conor McGregor took to X (formerly Twitter) to let his fans know that the UFC could announce his next fight anytime soon.
The murmurs of Conor McGregor‘s UFC return started floating around soon after he decided to do The Ultimate Fighter 31 alongside Michael Chandler. Many fans expected McGregor to return in 2023, with several fans pointing at December for his return. However, McGregor delaying his entry into the USADA testing pool meant it would be a while before we could see the Notorious in action.
I promise the ufc would never even have announce to me who I am fighting, they could do a surprise announcement out of nowhere, a date, an opponent, completely out of the blue, absolutely anyone, at any time, and I’d be in the gym prepping tactics for it. This is legally binding.

Moreover, UFC President and CEO Dana White did not deny the reports when asked about them during the UFC 295 post-fight press conference. “If the Schmo said it, it must be true,” He said.
Be that as it may, Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler is far from an official fight for UFC 300. However, there’s a huge chance that UFC could be planning it for the much anticipated UFC PPV.

Having crossed 1 million PPV buys in each of his last eight fights, it won’t be surprising to see UFC 300 touch the magical figure of 1 million PPV buys.
Dana White has already refuted the rumors surrounding the return of Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey at UFC 300. Only time will tell who will feature on the UFC 300 card, but if it’s Conor McGregor, it’s safe to say that huge PPV numbers are guaranteed!
