UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev interacted with a Charles Oliveira fan on his Instagram post. Much like Arman Tsarukyan at the UFC 300 press conference, Makhachev was also confronted by an Oliveira fan. Makhachev, however, replied with the champion’s aura.
Makhachev took to Instagram to post a picture with UFC CEO Dana White. The Dagestani fighter captioned the image, “Dana I got hungry , feed me someone”
Makhachev last fought Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 294. He defeated the Australian via a head-kick KO. The UFC Lightweight Champion won the title at UFC 280 against Oliveira when the title was vacant. He defended it once against Volk at UFC 284 and was set to defend it against the Brazilian at UFC 294. However, Do Bronx pulled out due to injury and Volk took his place for a rematch.
Islam Makhachev replied to a Charles Oliveira fan under his Instagram post:
Fan: “the champ has a name 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷”
Islam: “champ have belt” 😂#UFC #MMA pic.twitter.com/wgtO1w9CjA

Makhachev has no confirmed fights lined up. On his Instagram post with White, a fan commented, “The champ has a name [Brazil flag emoji].” Makhachev replied to it, “champ have belt.”
Oliveira fans are building a reputation for heckling other fighters. Arman Tsarukyan faced a tough situation against them at the UFC 300 press conference.
Arman Tsarukyan was also on the receiving end of taunts from Charles Oliveira fans
At the UFC 300 press conference, Tsarukyan faced issues with Oliveira fans. Charles Oliveira will take on Tsarukyan at UFC 300 in what is billed as the #1 contender match. Right from the time Tsarukyan entered the conference, he was booed by the fans.

Many fans even came up to the mic and abused Tsakruyan. He tried to calmly respond to them but they were getting on his nerves. It was not a great watch.
When it comes to being the #1 contender, however, Dustin Poirier seems like he has something brewing. Poirier seemed to have a conversation with Makhachev’s manager Ali Abdelaziz claiming that he was up for a fight in June. Makhachev has also claimed he wants to fight in June but there are no confirmed fights yet.

Moreover, after his UFC 299 victory over Rafael Dos Anjos, Matheusz Gamrot called out Makhachev and claimed he was the best wrestler after the champion in the division. “Dagestani wrestling vs. Poland wrestling,” said Gamrot in his statement. There are many contenders in the lightweight division and Makhachev is also ready to fight. It’s only a matter of time before a title defense is announced.
