The UFC is back with another blockbuster event in Boston, Massachusetts, as UFC 292 is set to host two exciting title fights. The main event for the night will have Aljamain Sterling defending his UFC Bantamweight Title against Sean O’Malley. In the co-main event, Weili Zhang and Amanda Lemos will face each other for the Women’s Strawweight Title. Welterweight fighter Ian Garry is also set to fight on the card against Neil Magny.
The Irish prospect Garry was initially matched up against Geoff Neal, but when the latter pulled out of the fight citing an injury, it was UFC veteran Neil Magny who stepped up on short notice. It is worth noting that when Garry defeated Daniel Rodriguez by a first-round TKO in his last fight, he called out Magny in his Octagon interview. So, it seems like the MMA gods have listened to the young Irish fighter.

The welterweight fighter found his inspiration in former UFC double champion Conor McGregor and aspires to be like him. He is on the right track as far as his MMA records are concerned. Garry stands undefeated with an impressive record of 12-0. However, the fight against Neil Magny at UFC 292 can be a real challenge for him, as the American fighter has a lot of experience under his belt.
The bout between Garry and Magny is currently listed as the third fight of the PPV event. UFC 292 is set to take place in Boston on August 19.

This is Ian Machado Garry’s sixth fight under the UFC banner. According to a report by Sports Payouts, ‘The Future’ will be taking home $48k for showing up to the fight. He will also pocket an additional $5k from sponsorship deals.
The good news for Ian Garry is that his salary is constantly increasing with every fight, as in his last fight against Daniel Rodriguez, he earned $44k. Moreover, in the fight before that against Kenan Song at UFC 285, Garry got $38k as a guaranteed fight purse.

Reportedly, Garry’s opponent, Neil Magny, will be getting a much higher amount for fighting at UFC 292. The veteran is expected to take home $210k as a guaranteed purse amount and $15k for sponsorship.
Of course, these amounts can increase if the fighters can get hold of the performance and win bonuses. More details will follow once we are done with the main event of the much-anticipated UFC 292.
