Many fans best know Joe Rogan for his former hosting duties on the Fear Factor show. Others know him for being the voice of countless UFC fights over the years. Aside from these, there is a good chunk of his fanbase that follow him for what is arguably the biggest podcast on the internet – The Joe Rogan Experience.
With constant uploads of thought-provoking and controversial conversations, the show has garnered millions of listeners throughout the years. As it became one of Joe’s most important endeavors, a staggering number of people started tuning in for each and every episode that gets posted.
Rogan recently achieved a huge milestone on his famed show. Perhaps the most successful and widely-known podcast in the world, JRE recently completed 2000 episodes since its inception in 2009. And in order to commemorate this achievement, Joe took the matter into his hands, albeit in a seemingly weird fashion.
Joe Rogan dresses up as a furry in the latest JRE episode
On the 2000th episode of JRE, American actor & stand-up comic Duncan Trussell appeared as the guest. And to everyone’s surprise, the duo decided to play dress-up in order to up the ante. Duncan, who has previously appeared on the show numerous times, put on the costume of a black-colored cat. Joe Rogan, on the other hand, seemed to wear a costume of what looks like a wolf.
The pair started off the episode by greeting each other using what is usually found in furry slang. “Hi, meow meow. I’m so excited to be here with you today,” Rogan joked. “This is our first podcast coming out as our true selves. Yeah (We are furries). We have been holding it in forever.”
However, it wasn’t as easy to be under the costume as it looked from the outside. The attire made them feel uncomfortable and seemingly lacked good airflow. At the same time, the two couldn’t seem to be able to keep it together as they indulged in constant laughter throughout the clip.
“The odds are also not good that I’m gonna keep this f*cking helmet on. I’m like all sweating. I can barely breathe,” Joe continued. “I don’t know (how do furries keep such costumes on), they f*ck with these things on. They’re heroes. Respect for the furry community … If you could f*ck with this on, you’re an American hero.”
In the midst of all of this, Joe even took a friendly jibe at famed American runner, David Goggins. Rogan put up a hilariously weird challenge for the 48-year-old. He said, “You think you’re so cool running for a thousand miles? How about f*ck for four and a half minutes with this on.”

Before Joe and Duncan take off their masks, the UFC commentator shares why he believes many individuals join the furry community. “I get it when I put it on, I get it. I know why they do it,” Rogan explains. “But I don’t know why all of them do it. I think they do it because it offers you an anonymity that is impossible any other way.”
Joe also added that wearing such costumes puts up an “adorable (and) cute” image of oneself in front of others. He went on to compare it with the masked characters found in Disneyland while maintaining none of them ever speak. “If you meet Goofy, Goofy doesn’t say jack sh*t to you,” said Rogan.
Fans react hysterically to Rogan playing dress-up
For newer fans, this isn’t the first time the pair has played dress-up. From rocking colonial attire to sporting a plague doctor outfit, the duo has entertained their listeners multiple times on the show with their bizarre choice of costumes and conversations.
But since this time they decided to dress up as animals, fans and critics alike have seemingly taken particularly special notice of the bizarre episode. Needless to say, clips of the recent episode have been making rounds on the internet. Many people have taken to Twitter to voice their shock at what they just witnessed.
Some fans seem to be poking fun at Joe’s bizarre choice of dressing up as a wolf. While others appear to feel that the episode was made using AI technology. Nevertheless, Rogan has captured quite the attention on his podcast’s recent milestone.

There are hundreds of thousands of podcasts over the web as of now. However, not many have been as successful as The Joe Rogan Experience. Moreover, the 55-year-old comedian always finds new ways to keep his viewers engaged, just like he did in the recent episode.
