Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen went a bit over the top after his knockout win over Fabian Edwards. Fabian was coming off a three-fight winning streak and hoped to mimic his brother Leon Edwards by becoming a world champion. While Fabian had his moments inside the cage, Eblen got the better of him.
The 31-year-old dropped Edwards with an overhand right in the third round of their fight. Eblen then proceeded to knock his lights out and retain the Middleweight title via TKO. Following the incredible victory Johnny appeared to be screaming at Fabian who was out cold on the ground.
Eblen was eventually pulled away but seconds later had to confront Fabian’s elder brother Leon Edwards. Both got into a heated argument with each other and things could have easily turned volatile. However, Bellator officials and security intervened from the start to avoid an all-out brawl.

The heated confrontation between the two champions also made headlines and many backed Eblen for standing his ground. “ Don’t let him bully ya, son,” posted one fan in Johnny’s support.
Regardless, after the adrenaline wore off, Johnny approached the opposing corner with a cooler head. He shook hands with both Fabian and Leon to put the bad blood to rest.
This will be Pressure’s second consecutive title win as he moves up to a 14-0 record. Eblen is highly confident in his fighting skills and also believes he can take out one of the scariest fighters in the UFC.
Johnny Eblen claims he can defeat former middleweight champion Alex Pereira
Johnny Eblen impressed the fight fans by knocking out Fabian Edwards at Bellator 299. The Pressure is considered among the best middleweights on the planet and rightly so. However, according to Johnny himself, he stands at the top of the food chain and states that he can beat anyone.
The Middleweight champion once also went as far as saying he could destroy the former middleweight champion, Alex Pereira. “I think I beat him ten times out of ten. I’m too much for the guy. I am a style matchup disaster for him,” said Eblen

“I have great cardio, I can hit hard, I can take a punch, and I mix up the striking and wrestling really well. I don’t see him beating me,” added the Bellator Middleweight champion. While Johnny is yet to test himself against UFC fighters, he happens to have an undefeated record.
He trains out of American Top Team which is one of the best MMA gyms in the world having produced top-tier fighters. The 31-year-old is yet to face defeat and might sign with UFC in the near future due to recent issues with Bellator. Do you think Johnny Eblen can defeat Alex Pereira?
